Role:

Reporting to the Board of Directors of the Foundation, the BC Transplant Research Institute is responsible for providing advice to the Foundation on research matters relating to transplantation. The actual decisions as to how and what types of research funding grants should be issued is the responsibility of the full Board after considering the recommendations of the BC Transplant Research Institute.

Objectives:

• To review avenues for research grant funding and make recommendations to the BC Transplant Research Foundation; and
• To monitor the impact of different types of grant funding on research in BC and report to the BC Transplant Research Foundation.
