Competitions

The Transplant Research Foundation of BC (TRF) will announce requests for proposals during summer 2010.

Through the Venture Grant Competition, the Foundation supports new, high-risk/high-reward research ideas identified by investigators across BC. The intent of this competition is to fund new areas of research that are in a pilot/feasibility stage (e.g., new hypotheses, new technology/techniques). TRF of BC anticipates successful projects will lead to significant external peer-reviewed funding. The new funding will support the ongoing research direction that will have a positive impact in organ transplant science.

The Venture Grants are funded by Transplant Research Foundation of BC. Peer review will be conducted by the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR).
