"Give Life at Work" is a workplace campaign that helps to increase awareness for organ donation and BC's Organ Donor Registry. Employees are invited to register their decision on BC's Organ Donor Registry. The registration form gives employees four choices to make, including the option not to be a donor. Our goal is to ensure that British Columbians have the opportunity to make an educated, legal decision on organ donation. It is important that all British Columbians register regardless of their decision.

How This Program Works

Give Life at Work can be tailored to best fit the needs of any organization. An internal supporter from your workplace would be designated and their role is primarily to help coordinate the best possible way to reach staff with a message about organ donation. The ‘internal supporter’ helps to acquire permission to run the campaign from management, and connect BC Transplant with the appropriate people in your organization to make the campaign a success! Organ Donor Registration forms or a link to the online Registry would be distributed to each employee; how that happens depends on the needs of the organization. It can be done through an e-mail campaign using a web link to the online Registry, distribute forms at an organization meeting, pay roll insertion, a desk drop, etc. A letter from BC Transplant can also accompany the registration form. If appropriate, BC Transplant can also arrange for a guest speaker to present to employee groups.

BC Transplant would like to effectively educate British Columbians about organ donation, transplantation and the Organ Donor Registry. During the campaign a BC Transplant representative will be available to support your organization and internal supporter in any way possible.
