Born in South Africa and now calling BC home, Bev is a seasoned ceramic artist. She created the Heart Teapot Series out of intrigue and humility for the remarkable organ that is the heart. She was fascinated by both the physical and emotional functions of the heart and aims to capture this in her sculptures.
She finds joy in imagining future heart-to-heart conversations while sharing a cup of tea. She encourages ongoing discussions of what it means to "follow one's heart". She says, "Those who "drink from the golden heart" will join others who search for the heart's intrigues and its universal truths: love, compassion, empathy and transcendence."
